7 Things: My Favorite Video Games – #4
Pac-Man
*I’m not really what one might call a gamer, but, as far as gaming goes, I keep it old-school. I prefer my games without graphic violence and my controllers simple. That means Super Nintendo and Wii all the way.*
Chomp. Chomp. Chomp. Chomp. Chomp. Chomp. Chomp. Chomp.
You eat powerless pellets. You eat a power pellet. You swallow ghosts. The ghosts come back to life.
Duh. They’re ghosts.
So, you eat another power pellet and swallow the ghosts again. And they come back to life again. Then, you eat some fruit to get your vitamin C and watch the chase cartoons to get your yuks.
I admit, it’s a bit repetitious, but still, somehow, so much damn fun.
I like it best in arcade form, standing at a machine like the video game gods intended, but the joystick home version is a perfectly decent alternative.
For the record, I also like the Ms.
Now you’re talking my video-game language! Old old school. Pac man and the ms Atari version: one stick, one button 😀
That’s the only way to play Pac-Man really. Anything else and you’re gettin’ too fancy. My mom and I both used to be super good at the arcade version. Once in a while, we would stop in an arcade and we could play for, like, infinity on one quarter. Those were the days 🙂
