And On a Happier Note… Literally

This is quite possibly my favorite version of a Christmas standard of all time. It probably helps that it’s one of my favorite Christmas songs anyway. But I love this arrangement. I love the music. Mostly though, I love the way that the song builds in intensity and from the last verse to the last note it is just so damn BIG.

Do You Hear What I Hear? – Linda Eder

Listen all the way to the end and I promise you’ll hear what I mean.

  1. Linda Eder is my favorite all-time singer. What a voice. And this arrangement, with the choir is awesome. I also highly recommend her Silent Night (as a round!), and Ave Maria (both with choir), and her medley of Here Comes Santa Claus/Santa Claus is Coming to Town.

So, not only do you have great taste in TV shows (WMC), write great fan fiction, but you have great taste in Music!

  2. On a side note, the beginning of this arrangement always makes me think of The Lion King. It just sounds like it came from that movie! 😉
