  1. woo! a real update! and i had a fun time reading the entire things aloud to my husband doing my best to put the emphasis in the right places while i was talking.

who’s angel anyway? do you watch bones? it’s my favorite david show. also, i get to see one of my top 40 give a lecture next week.

i also agree about gay characters in movies/tv. i’m straight, but i don’t see the reflection of really any of my gay friends/family on the big or small screen.

i also, also agree that nip/tuck is a disaster.

i’m upset about your elizabeth rohm comments.

(i’m writing all this to let you know i really did read the whole thing :).

oh, and i look forward to hearing more about this “empire” of yours.

have fun and get some sun!

  2. An empire eh? I wanna see the gladiator games. I vote for baby oil and hot chicks.

So jealous you got to meet DB, and yes, Miss Scarlet was awesome.

Looking forward to reading your rant on the current state of gay characters in media.

But on a positive note, it made some of Dina Meyer’s films look classic. – OUCH. But so true. *sigh* Poor Dina. I loves her so, but her projects really do lend themselves to these comparisons. Not as much as Kari Wuhrer’s, but still…

Disappointing to hear that Race You to the Bottom was bad. I love AB as well, but the premise of the movie made me wary. Good to know I was right before spending time on it.

I missed Dina on Nip/Tuck. I watched the first season for a bit, because of my previous affiliation with Charmed fandom, but it squicked me too much to continue. I did tune back in for Famke. Or rather, I was flipping through channels, saw Famke, and then made an effort to tune in. I also thought I was pretty damn clever to figure out the “twist” of her character after about two or three episodes. That’s a damn fine acting job, to play something that subtly. And I didn’t know that LB and SP did guest spots. I’m a tiny bit tempted to seek those episodes out.

  3. That was epic! lol. But I wholeheartedly enjoy reading anything that you have written because you are just so damn witty. πŸ™‚

Good luck with the empire! πŸ™‚

    Cool pics!

I saw The Reader today and I thought it was a very good film…However, I haven’t read the book yet. I’m sure the book’s better…that’s always the case though isn’t it? πŸ˜‰ …I’ll get to it eventually. I’m still working on Anna Karenina at the moment.

I’m in New Zealand so we are getting the news about the fires all the time. It’s pretty shocking. Yes, it is very sad about the poor defenseless animals. I love animals. He is a cutie.

  4. hey, I know this is way way late, but I wanted to say that yeah I was caught up in fires, in a night time evacuation, mild smoke inhilation, finding all roads blocked kind of way, so yeah very scary but I am good now.
Also I really miss this blog, I was isolated from computers for a while andthen with starting uni (finally, yes I know I’m young, EVERYONE keeps reminding me) I havn’t gotten back into it yet, which is a real pity, because it is glorious, anyway, hope to be reading and posting comments again real soon,
    love may
