I totally agree with your entire post. I did, however, have a little moment of panic when it looked like they were going to end with the goodbye at the airport. But thank God we had one last scene with the club. Even if it was cut short by the phone call. And if the unthikable has happened to Lindsay’s dad, who better to offer comfort than someone whose father died not too long ago? Food for (fanfic) thought.
I agree that things finally felt back on track and that this episode felt like it was written earlier than the last two. Especially with the passing ‘shouldn’t you be home in bed recuperating? It was a gun shot wound… I am recuperated’ moment. What a nice and tidy way to blow off a poorly executed non-plot point.
It will be sad to see it go, but, honestly, I’d rather see it disappear than watch more episodes like last week’s painful offering.
As for doing something crazy. I’ve been racking my brain trying to come up with something different. It seems like sending letters and objects related to a show doesn’t impress networks anymore. So, I dunno.
I agree with your rundown of the ep! Certainly better than last week with some nice L/C moments, I cannot believe they threw that little cliff hanger in there tho!
I’m soo upset over this cancellation! But the show will live in through your fan fiction right?? I hope so, it’s the only thing that’s getting me through!! 🙂
I’ll keep writing about Lindsay/Cindy as long as I can come up with material, because in the history of subtexty relationships, I can think of none hotter.
I was actually kind of hoping that the finale would be as bad as the last ep, so that I too could say good riddance, but alas, it made me sad all over again.
Very nice recap – I too had harsh words when I thought they were going to end with the scene at the airport – instead I got a very WMC-like dinner/banter scene. Was that Cindy with a “Its not gonna work.”? with and underlying theme of “cos I don’t want it to and I’ll do my level best to distract you from any Pete-like thoughts?”

So weird. You totally just hit upon my very first thought upon finishing the episode last night. The dead daddy connection.

Cool! Something to look forward to. 🙂

Uh yeah, that’s totally what she was saying… and it wouldn’t take much to distract her I’d wager.
