I thought that I could stay out of it. I wanted to, because it’s the kind of thing that is just so damn stupid, it hurts to even acknowledge that it was said, but after hearing the quote yesterday and then reading it this morning, I just had to get involved.

Usher: “Women have started to become lovers of each other as a result of not having enough men.”

He said this for real. You can’t make this stuff up. Why would you?

What is even more disturbing than this quote though is just how many men on spinner.com were agreeing with the sentiment. Agreeing. As in bobbing their little heads up and down and being in accord with this utter stupidity.

Now, let me just say up front, this is not a rant against men. This is a rant against men who think like Usher.

Survey says… there is evidence that even the women who do want to sleep with you find you visually uninspiring. So what makes you think, if there were just enough of you to go around, we gay girls would rejoice and be merry?

As for you Usher, I admit your self-acclaimed studliness is lost on me. Your attitude and personality… wow, charming. Your intelligence… I’m sorry, there was an oxymoron somewhere in there, wasn’t there? Or maybe just a moron.

You see, if I were the last woman standing in an apocalyptic battle with the end of humanity, there are men that I would breed with. Intelligent men. Kind men. Men with inner beauty. The kind of man who could comprehend that I was doing it for the greater good and not because, the moment he entered my presence, my panties melted right off of me.

However, if it just came down to Usher and I, if we were the last two people on Earth, for the human race to go on, he would have to put up one helluva chase. And I can be wily. I trust the last fifty years of human sexuality would come down to me looting for a copy of Mulholland Drive and him rubbing his nipples in a mirror.
