This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of NMEDA. All opinions are 100% mine.

If you have a disabled person in your life, you know how difficult it can be for the disabled to get around in many circumstances. A walker or a wheelchair can be beneficial for short distances, but if a disabled person wants to make a longer trip, he or she is often at the mercy of family or friends. And the vehicles of family and friends are not always set up to accommodate a wheelchair or other necessary equipment. If you would like for your vehicle to be more accessible for the disabled, check out NMEDA. NMEDA is a non-profit organization that promotes both handicap-accessible and modified vehicles. The organization works with qualified dealers to get handicap-accessible vans into the hands of family and friends of disabled people, or to provide the disabled with modified vehicles that allows them the freedom of driving. NMEDA’s separate list of Quality Assurance Program dealers provides the names of those dealers accredited as Adaptive Mobility Equipment dealers. The NMEDA page also provides a zip code lookup that makes it easy to find NMEDA qualified dealers in your area. If you are looking for a dealer of handicap-accessible or modified vehicles, use the zip code lookup at NMEDA to find a dealer near you.
