In a plot line as cliche as fat girl/gay guy best friend movies, Riley goes down as a quarterfinalist. Only a quarterfinalist. Still in the running for Suzanne’s Prize though, so still holding onto that last flicker of hope.

But growing increasingly doubtful.

It’s better to be true to yourself than be rich. It’s better to be true to yourself than be rich.

So goes my mantra.

If I keep repeating it, maybe I’ll actually believe it.
