Turn away Twilight fans or you shall hate me for all of eternity.
I was just on IMDB and they do those little trivia bits on the front page. That’s how I ended up on the Twilight trivia page, where I found this -
“Stephenie Meyer claims these authors partially inspired her: Jane Austen, Orson Scott Card, Shakespeare, and Charlotte Bronte”
Now, while I admit that I have read only the beginning of Twilight on the little ‘peek inside the book’ feature on Amazon, that’s really all I needed for this to give me a right good laugh.
This I found less funny -
“For the role of Edward Cullen, Robert Pattinson flew from England to director Catherine Hardwicke’s house to audition. There, he and Kristen Stewart, who was already cast as Bella Swan, rehearsed the “Love Scene”/”Meadow Scene” on Hardwicke’s own bed.”
Anyone else need scalding water, Borax and a scouring pad?

Ugh Twilight. Don’t even get me started. The whole thing makes me sick.
Coming from someone who has actually read three of her books during a very lugubrious and masochistic period a few years ago, they really are just crap. In fact, I wish I could wipe their memory from my brain. Stephanie Meyer is a total hack.
The sad thing is that I already knew both those factoids. Hah. The first one amuses me to no end. It has become quite the running joke in this household and I often get a good giggle out of it. The second however, is a tad troubling indeed! Another thing I’d liked wiped from my brain!
