Okay, so I know my long absences aren’t exactly a new thing lately, but since I’ve been getting several “Riley, where’d you go disappearing to, you raging douche?” comments and emails here very recently, I wanted to let you all know that I am not ignoring you. Right now, I’m a little bit out of the country. I spent the last two days in Ireland, driving from the passenger’s side of the car on the wrong side of two-way roadways built for one-way traffic. And, yes, I know that all sounds very ignorant and ethnocentric. Believe me when I tell you, I’m really not that American. But the roads were incredibly small, and I really did have to think hard about it every time I made a turn. Stay to the left… Stay to the left… And what’s with all the f’in roundabouts, seriously?!?
Now, I’m in London, where I will also be tomorrow. I had the most amazing meal for dinner. I thought the seat was shaking as I was eating it, then I realized that the sheer deliciousness of it all was just making my thighs quiver. Tomorrow night, I go see Andrea Corr in her first ever play. Friday, it’s back to Dublin. Saturday, it’s back to the U.S. Then, off to New York, where I’ll see my dear friend Chauncy (no, not her real name), see Becky Shaw (a play, not a person), pop into Juilliard for a visit, and do a thing or two more before returning west. I will get back to you all then.

Wow! I’m so jealous. Dublin, London and NYC! I’d love to be just about anywhere but here right now. Especially New York!
Have fun! I’m sure you will

Classic!
We drive on that side too. Though I don’t drive myself. Partly because I have a problem with being on the right side of the car, it just doesn’t feel “right” heh. Maybe I’m destined to live in the US

Preemptive “welcome to the East Coast” for when you get here. We’ve been having some intersting weather. I’m excited to share it with you.

hmmmm…I’m totally pouting! Here I am stuck @ my desk in Ohio trying to work, when I realized I better check in on my little sisters. I am truly delighted that you guys are getting a much needed vacation, but how can I possibly be expected to work when you two are out galavanting in Ireland- on St. Patty’s Day……sniff, sniff
