Lifelock vs Experian

June 22nd, 2008 by Riley

Getting your identity stolen is not a good thing. Lifelock agrees. In fact, the whole concept of lifelock is that you sign up for their service so that they can help you to prevent identity theft from happening to you. Apparently credit reporting agency Experian is not a fan of Lifelock. They say that “credit laws do not provide for a third party to place fraud alerts on behalf of a consumer” when really there is one thing that appears to be driving this for Experian. Lifelock is inching in on money that Experian could be making. But Lifelock’s services are designed to protect the consumer, even if it is at the expense of credit reporting agencies like Experian.
