aka David Ford Still Rocks My Socks & Augustana in Their First Performance Ever
Only half of this is true. Guess which half.
I’m not as tired as I should be today. You see, last night I went straight from work to Cleveland. That’s a roughly two and a half hour drive, puppies. I went to see David Ford. If you don’t know David Ford, go here and learn, and if he is coming to a venue near you, go see him. Seriously. You haven’t lived until you have seen him perform State of the Union Live. Which he did last night, which is why I didn’t cry over driving five hours round trip to see someone perform for thirty minutes. I did pout a little, but I didn’t cry.
Onto other news…
Augustana headlined fun time at the House of Blues, and you know something? I wish I’d left after David Ford and gotten in bed before two a.m. During one of the most piss-poor performances I have ever witnessed, where no one seemed to know where they were supposed to stand and the lag between songs was often longer than the songs themselves, I kept thinking, “There are an awful lot of talented, dirt-broke musicians roaming this planet. It does seem unfair.”
Isn’t the world though?
