So, I was watching Disney channel last night. (That’s So Raven, the only good show they still air regularly.) I saw an ad for the Best of Both Worlds tour special that they are making for theaters. Then, for some reason, I randomly started thinking about the whole Miley Cyrus/Hannah Montana dichotomy, and the way that she is part-time Miley Cyrus and part-time Hannah Montana during the concert. It’s just a little creepy. But that’s not my main thought.
 
My main thought is that Garth Brooks was apparently ahead of the times. He was also gearing toward the wrong audience. When Garth Brooks tried to adopt an alter ego, he pretty much killed his career. What’s the difference between Miley Cyrus/Hannah Montana and Garth Brooks/Chris Gaines? Nothing except a few years and the fact that kids are easier to amuse.
