We spent some money today. And by some, I mean like $500. We don’t actually have it to spend, but we’ve been incredibly good this year, and it was for a good cause… Nintendo Wii-induced happiness. During this short spending spree (when there are video games and gaming consoles involved, it doesn’t take long to spend a lot), Shawna uttered a phrase that has now become my favorite saying in the history of the world. In fact, it could be considered the mantra of our lives.

“We’ve already written the hot cheque. We may as well spend the money.”

Such wisdom is seldom witnessed in this day and age. I find it especially ironic that someone pays her to do accounting : ) Suckers.
