The strike is on folks! And, not terribly surprisingly, I have some mixed feelings about it.

On one hand, I do understand their reasons for striking. When it comes down to it, it is a completely unfair system, not just in Hollywood, but the world entire. The creative people, the people with talent are highly undercompensated, and often cheated. The people with the money get all the rewards, regardless of their complete lack of ability at anything other than being rich.

On the other hand, these people get to write for a living, every day, without any real struggle. They get paid A LOT per script and on a regular basis. They may be getting screwed out of some money that they think they deserve, but I can watch TV and movies as well as the next person and, let me just say, there is a whole lot of money flying around out in Hollywood for some shit-ass product.
